I used my time in quarantine creating and thinking of what’s important to me. I moved to LA in 2019 in search of what I wanted to do, with the understanding that I love making people laugh through storytelling. I strive to create light, fun, funny, and feel-good content, finding brightness in a dark dark world. I’ve always felt like something’s been missing though. Where’s my impact? Whose life am I changing? How can I use my unique experiences to create good in the world?
I’ve lived in an overweight body for 18+ years, which has completely shaped how I see the world. My audience has been following me because like it or not, this is the real journey I’ve been on nearly my whole life. My body is the reason why I’ve always had a larger than life personality, why I’ve been able to put on a show for everyone, and why I am the way I am. It’s a journey that millions of girls + women navigate everyday, and I hope to help normalize bodies of all shapes, sizes, and colors.
Throughout 2020 + 2021 I’ve been having conversations with curve models, cooks, fashion professionals, and industry professionals to talk about fat-phobia and body image. I’ve named the series You Have Such a Pretty Face (…a wildly offensive backhanded compliment fat women receive all the time). These conversations are honest, profound, and vulnerable, and I can’t wait for you to watch and listen.
